Securing a Harrogate Home: A Starbeck Lock Repair
At Lock Smithy Ltd, we recently got a call from a customer in Starbeck, Harrogate, who couldn't lock her front door. A malfunctioning lock can be a major stressor, so we promptly went to the property to assess the situation.
After a quick inspection, we found the issue: the UPVC multipoint locking mechanism had failed due to a worn-out gearbox. It's impressive that the original parts were over 20 years old, but like any mechanical component, they eventually need to be replaced.
To restore the home's security, we replaced the failed gearbox, installed a new door handle, and fitted a new euro cylinder. The new parts were installed quickly and efficiently, and the customer was relieved to have her door securely locking again.
